Free Music Friday: Night Beds (EP & Bonus Track)

Every Fire; Every Joy

I have been looking for this for months.

Not Night Beds in particular, but the new music that might move me to listening on repeat. Here it is and it is free.

Our friend Zach Tipton (Young Coyotes, I Am The Dot) told the good people of Night Beds that we of Everyday Joe’s would enjoy their tunes. Night Beds then sent us a little note with links to their free EP Every Fire; Every Joy and to a bonus track featuring Mr. Tipton, “Good Person.”

I keep listening and it all just keeps getting better. In the Everyday Joe’s universe, Night Beds might done be this year’s You, Me, and Apollo. A show with those two on the bill would be oh so vibey.

You can listen to “Good Person” and the entirety of Every Fire; Every Joy below. Once you are convicted by their summer-nights-on-the-back-porch-good-times feel, get your digital paws on the former here and the latter here.

Young Coyotes Grace Daytrotter & Offer Free Downloads

You might remember back in January when Everyday Joe’s hosted a benefit for Deliver Darfur – an organization started by two of our volunteers to raise money to battle & awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Sudan. The benefit was an overwhelming success and boasted on of the finest musical lineups these ears have heard in some time.

One of the acts that night, Young Coyotes, are beginning to make waves on a national level.  They’re currently in Austin, TX making the rounds at the ’09 installment of the SXSW festy and will surely conquer the town by the time their stay there is over. Also, Daytrotter (a fine indie music blog) posted Young Coyotes’ session today and it is chalk full of free downloads. To add good listening (though not easy) to your music library, click the Young Coyotes Coat Of Arms/Beards Advocay Shield below.

Audio Treat: Young Coyotes

Yes, they are actually coyotes. At least that’s what they will tell you. I’ll tell you they make nice-sounding bits of music…not muzak. That’s a fact. Jack.

Enough of the rhyming. If they really are coyotes, they are human-looking enough to be named Adam & Zach. Young Coyotes are a musical duo on the rise, that’s for shiz. If I had a vote, they’d be taking off for stardom any day now…or at least enough success to sustain a carreer in the field of music and have a few Totino’s in the freezer as well.

If you’d like to catch Young Coyotes before this stardom, Saturday 1/31 will be your chance at Everyday Joe’s. They’re playing a benefit for local organization Deliver Darfur (which happens to have two Everyday Joe’s volunteers at the helm). Others taking the stage that evening:

Dan Craig, Bad Weather California, The Wheel.

Holy Moly.

Before you run out of the house and start camping on the sidewalk in front Everyday Joe’s, please have a listen to the following Young Coyotes composition. Enjoy “When I Was In The Fire.” See you Saturday. 7 pm. $10 suggested donation.
