New Video From Listener

The first half of today was spent listening to my Arrested Development (Speech, not Jason Bateman) Pandora station whilst helping on bar. Business meetings soundtracked by The Fugees, Digable Planets, De La Soul, and Tribe among others. For a short while, hip-hop took over 144 S. Mason.

Of course, this isn’t the first time this has happened. Our friend Listener has played the Everyday Joe’s stage several times, most recently in May opening for Aaron Strumpel & taking part in the Elephants extravaganza.

Listener has a new video out to an old song. That washing machine isn’t a prop, folks, it’s an institution.

Cribs – Tour Edition: Listener

If you were at Everyday Joe’s for Aaron Strumpel’s album release show back in May, you were fortunate enough to witness the art of Listener & his Loud Talking. Listener (aka Dan Smith) has been performing at Everyday Joe’s since back in the day (2005) and his overall mastery of the craft seems to achieve new heights with each successive performance.

This leads one to wonder…where does the inspiration come from? His moustache is no doubt a large part of his energy field, but there must be more. He spends so much time on the road, you’d think he would be drained. Wrong-o pal.

Once you watch the video below, you’ll see the road is simply where it all begins. We proudly present Cribs- Tour Edition: Listener.

Stop Global CD Extinction: A PSA from Listener Project

Oh, the compact disc. At one point you placed it on the toadstool of awesomeness because you could choose the song you wanted to listen to. Now, it’s a burden because it won’t fit into your digital wallet. But what about the liner notes? What about the artwork? What about all the plastic cases taking up room in your home?

Before officially signing up for the digital era, Listener Project has a message for you. Gather the family, and enjoy.
