Much time around Everyday Joe’s is spent contacting bands we’d love to see play here (I mean, really, why wait for someone else to book them?). Probably two years ago, I e-mailed an act called Casados. I don’t remember much about them, just that they were good enough to make me want to watch them play music.

3 months ago, I got an e-mail back.

Casados is now existing under the moniker You & Yourn. They still play fantastic music. I know because they were nice enough to send along an advance copy of their forthcoming album It Would Make Things Worse, out October 27 on Parasol Records. I might actually have 2 copies of the album and I might be looking to give one away, pending approval from the proper authorities. Stay in touch.

In the mean time, please enjoy “Commercial Paper.” You & Yourn will make their Everyday Joe’s debut this coming Saturday (September 26), sharing the stage with our good friend Danielle Ate The Sandwich. Cover is $5 at the door. Showtime is 7 pm.
